A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE FOR
Revd Theodore Bayley Hardy, VC, DSO, MC
(20th October 1863 – 18th October 1918)
Padre Hardy was educated at the Royal Commercial Travellers School (now Harrow Arts Centre) and after spells as a teacher, headteacher and then parish priest, he volunteered for service in the Royal Army Chaplains’ Department. He was perhaps the most decorated non-combatant officer in the Great War and died of wounds sustained at the front three weeks before Armistice Day. We remember him around the 100th anniversary of his death.
The service will be led by Rt Revd Jonathan Baker, the Bishop of Fulham and Fr David Green, the Vicar of St Anselm’s.
